G'Day,

I've been lurking over this board for a few days now, and have found a lot of awesome information, a friendly atmosphere, where people aren't afraid to ask questions, or share advice, which is exactly what I need!

I'm 23, live in Karori, Wellington, and have owned a Black Hyosung GT250R for all of two days now. Am loving it. It's the first time i've ever owned a bike, or ridden one for that matter, but a mate got me interested in it, and I haven't looked back yet.

Just hoping to meet some people of a similar skill level for some learner rides, and people to share tips and tricks with.

Hope my stay will be a long and prosperous one.

Wow! Yo' leavin' yoself wide open there, HG!

Welcome, anyway! You're another reason the Hyosung 250 is NZ's top selling sports bike, eh?

Be careful, a young mate of mine just got knocked off his 250 Hornet last Wed.! Broke his wrist, but the bike is basically okay. Ride as if you're invisible and always assume they haven't/can't see you and may do ANYTHING in front of you! (Or beside you or behind you!)

Now that I've done my best to put you off... I guess you'll be having too much fun to stop now, anyway!

Cheers guys,

Hopefully I will go at least 6 months without a stack, and just let my confidence build up first.

No need to play silly buggers just yet.

Welcome aboard the site HG

Check out The Cruisey Wed Night Ride (TCWNR):

This will swing into full steam when daylight saving starts, is newby friendly, and a good place to meet other Welly riders

also apparently there will be a youngish lassie ( well younger than me) coming to manfield - hoping to introduce her to some of the welly crew so she will go out on some of the rides as well :D

Am keen for this Wednesday Night Ride thing, will have to build up my confidence a little more before I venture out at Night, or in the Motorway over to the Hutt though.
