Not sure how I'll get the bike down there yet. Might have to rent a trailer. But I will be down there hook or by crook. It'll be good to put some faces to all the names of the KBers here. I'll be in a champagne coloured landcruiser V8 or else an old grey corolla with a trailer on the back.

Usually 1pm but last week it was 2pm. I think it was cause he had to water the track. Call the race line 2680886 in the morning.

Seeing you guys are coming I'll get there when it opens. I'll also chuck in the Gazebo incase we get a shower.

Okay mate I may have to rock down on Saturday. We were going to Tok but see what the weather looks like for both area's and make a choice from there. The pic on the site is small but it looks like a great track!

Ardmore is closed on Sat due to its resource consent. Open every second sunday usually for a race event. And every Wednesday 4 practice.
Track is fairly small compared to Harrisvile. Jumps not so big either. But a fun day.

Usually not to bad. Gets busier after 3-30 when the Hi-schools close and all the teens turn up for a run. But not to bad overall.

I usually go under the trees but what about if we come up the drive and turn hard left onto the lower grass area down the bottom. I've a small gazebo we can set up for shade or shelter.

Track opens at 2pm not 1pm today till 6pm. Damn a late start.
From next week times are 4-8 (daylight saving sessions).

Track has been power harrowed and is in great condition. Hopefully these black clouds will not vent their anger on us and spoil our day.

I'm not hard to spot, I turned up on the wrong bike(Buell) just to check it out, think I will stick with woodhill, that looks too much for me.
Bye the way that driveway is not Buell friendly, scared I was going to get a flat tyre or get a stone in my drive belt.

sorry guys, was just out on a ride, love going up that road, so just called in for a look. Ended up out at KawaKawa bay, fish n chips for tea, who should just happen to ride by skidmark, he stopped had a chat, was on his was back from doing part of the coro loop.

The track was much smoother than it looked and if an old, timid KDX'er like me can manage to pootle round, I reckon anyone can, man that was fun.... :yes:

I can see a few more Wednesdays at Ardmore in my future....

John does an excellent job with the track and facilities. He is often over cautious with watering as the neighbours have been complaining etc.
He could have started on time today but run the risk of having a dusty track.
Dusty track = no track next weekend to ride on. Stupid complaining neighbours!

I think he does a super job and the odd delay (today was the first time in a long time) is just something we have to live with if we want to keep riding.

I thoroughly agree about the neighbours but I heard differently from another guy out there and about previous delays as well. Surly if you open at 2 and know the track needs an hour of water on it you get down there at 1. Not have 30-40 guys waiting for an hour. But i'll have a chat either by pm or when I see you next rather than on here. He does do a fine job but Cheese and B000m from the shore had quite a short day because of it. And cheese threw a sicky to get there.

Oh well it was still a great day nothings perfect!

Anyway enjoyed myself. Didn't realise how many of you frequent ardmore quite regularly. Although I'm way off the pace for racing. So i'll need a few wednesdays before I race on a sunday.
Still feeling sorry and guilty for the young lad that broke his collarbone and wrist when I fell off and he drove over my bike and launched into the air at the far end jump. :doctor:
Thought the bottom of that jump was getting pretty cut up by the end caught me out twice. :pinch:
Did see the buell come in but didn't think to go and see who it was oldguy. Sorry pal will meet up with you sometime perhaps at Ken fells with your grandson. :cool:
