Would like to share something that happened today that may help others.
well the wife went for her restricted today.I checked her bike out before we left and all was fine.Got to the AA testing place and a young man was going for his test and obviously hadnt checked his bike as his horn would not go.The wife left to do her test,so i wandered over to help the young man.I got the horn going for him but then he couldnt start the bike and ended up running the battery down and flooding the bike.He had now run out of time(the tester was quite patient and gave him every chance)Told him to leave the throttle alone and jump start the bike(used the testers car to jump start the bike but alas he had run out of time, and now has to repay the booking fee and do a retest. If you are going to do the test make sure your bike is ready to go this will prevent disappointment.Oh and wife has got her restricted(took the l plate off in the carpark then went for a ride)

had a similar problem a while back when i had to resit mine. Only had a 1200 sporty so borrowed a bike from the local bike shop. Gave it all a quick check over and also checked rego warrant e.t.c. all seemed good till tester checked it over to discover the rear brake light wasn't working. Turns out that between the bike shop and test the switch broke from battery acid leaking onto it. Had to rebook and repay , bugger
