Yes, we’ve finally done it, maybe mad or otherwise, but the MV Augusta F4 AGO RV1000 that so many have been waiting for has finally been listed

We have posted as much info as we know along with a collection of photos both on Trademe and our website.

View the listing and information here:

http://www.starinsurance.co.nz/wrecks.htm

We try to be as upfront on all damage and provide Assessment sheet on all bikes we sell but please come and have a look at the bike and check it out for yourself.

Good luck with the bidding, and don't forget to diary the finish time:
Tuesday 25th September at 5pm

If you would like to notified of all wreck we place on Trade me, just send an email to nickb@starinsurance.co.nz

Good luck with bidding

WHOOOAAAHHHH!!!

FIFTY SEVEN GRAND DAMAGE!!! That is very *very* written off. Mind you, engine looks like it's still good to go.

Oh, and it's Agusta, not Augusta. That's why you can't find any others on TradeMe.

Well done on keeping your patience with the morons asking questions on your auctions who can't figure out that you are an insurance company, not a bike shop.:first:

Thanks for the comments on the Questions it is hard sometimes but we try and have some fun because when your dealing with Motorbikes all day who would not have a laugh and a good time.

With the Assesment that is to make it all new sometimes when you buy a wreck you may choose just to touch up so costs can be alot less.

Cheers for the help getting the bike back a few of you on this site may know the rider of this bike.

We have a couple of other bikes that are on trade me as well that may interest people.

We have a:
2005 Honda ST1300 which has been put down on it's side

And a

2007 Kawasaki ZX1400 which had some radiator fluid spill on its back wheel and subsequently slide out.

Details of the listings, along with more photos, and reports can be found at:

WOW those parts have about a 500% mark up on them!

Do you ever get a second assessor's report?

The assessors go by the prices supplied by whatever bike shop parts department is doing the quote. They always quote OEM full retail.

Is this the one I saw looking very sad in Auckland Motorcycle Surgery about 2 months ago?

The one I saw needs new frame time (or it needs the steerer cut off and a new one welded on) coz it was bent so much as to be oval in section instead of round.

I heard the guy only cracked a few ribs - lucky escape there.

I'm glad that $6,500 is the most damage I can do to my bike :)
