Need Notebook/Tablet help please - WGTN

Anyone in the welly area got some expertise in fixing laptops?

Mine wouldnt boot and it says the config is not found when trying.
Tried putting hte hdd into a standard PC and copying the config.bak to replace the current config which then led me to next error: PC boots - XP loading screen appears and then the mouse cursor appears but then window pops up saying that the password is not valid and then instant restart - this is a never ending loop now.

The tablet has neither a optical or floppy drive. But i have grabbed a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter so i can plug into pc to copy files.

any ideas?

Best bet is to immediately copy that entire disk onto your desktop in case anything else goes wrong.

After that I think your best bet is probably going to be to reinstall windows, I wouldn't bother screwing around to fix it once its at that point, it sounds rather terminal.

Without a floppy or cd drive, well you can do a network install of windows (not sure how easy this is to setup, never done it myself) or perhaps you might have to buy/borrow/steal a usb optical drive
