Due to demand from all the moms out there we have decided to open Wednesday (26th Sept) through to Sunday during the school holidays (5 days in a row!) for two weeks.

Hopefully this will correspond with the new gates and beach access going thru in the next few weeks which will then allow for Wednesday riding during the week at the very least.
Webb site is being adjusted to suit.

Have fun and enjoy the groomed tracks early in the week. and go hard

The sooner you open all week the better! I'm sure all the off road riders who also work shift work will agree with me.......

Frosty,
Just tried the link and it worked for me.

Definitely open Wed thru to Sunday during the School Holidays.

There are issues that the uninformed are not aware of that prevent us opening full time yet. Hopefully within the next few weeks these will be over come. Stay tuned and we thank you for your patience over the last 12 weeks. Yep its only been 12 weeks!

Back in the good old days it was not illegal to ride the park during the week without paying and way way way back it was free anytime...... I gave up riding there when the park shrunk and maintenance came to a stand still... Might try it again one day. Going to the Tarawera ride this weekend.

na , just kidding mate, being from auckland you sort of get bored with the llimited venues to ride at, its not till they've gone that you learn to apprciate them a bit more.

Before the Ministry of mis information gets outa control. Last couple of years the whole of Woodhill closed for a couple of weeks during the hot season( 3weeks last year according to Forestry records) but it seems like a bloody lifetime when there is no where else local to ride.
I can see forestry managements point as one hot spark:sunny: and she could get a bit hot amonst the trees. Remember, we don't have to have extinguishers on our bikes in Woodhill yet so we are still really lucky.

The main reason they close, is not the risk from us, but from the P freaks who nic cars and set fire to them during the dry season.

They got a laminated map at the sign on bit. but you can't take it. I copied the one off the website like you said. Mind you if you're going with Danger sounds like he knows the place inside out anyway.
