take one 25mm drill extend it about 600mm long drill out the baffles, then drill 8x8mm holes around the end cap , making a gatling gun look , but the sound is perfect, not a HD sound , but the sound of a big block v8 thumping away.:banana::wari:

All jokes to one side for a moment...I'm loath to say it but if I was to buy a criuser it would be a M109R, I think the "plastic fantastic" tag is a bit OTT. Great lookin machine. Only other bike of that ilk I would consider would be a Yamaha Warrior but they cost moon beams! The up and coming V-Max is also one hot bike but I don't think it quite fits under the title "cruiser".

i agree , vmax is a crossover, should have it's own class, not a cruiser not a sportsbike, can not class it as a muscle cruiser , nice bike plenty of punch , , the warrior lacks in power , the m109 has power and will get a lot more as time goes on ,

I thought cruisers were all about the torque?? y'know....roll on GRUNT!!

torque, the m has that and more , just roll on the power and hold on , you feel the bike get down in the rear a pull like crazy, the torque on mine is at 120fpt at 3200rpm and 135hp

I think a good way to summarise the M109R is a very good value for money muscle cruiser. Plenty of grunt and great looks without OTT expensive metal fairings etc that add too much weight and cost.
A good compromise bike for those not willing or unable to spend huge money for an equivalent new HD (usually with a smaller block too).

But those ugly beak lookin front ends! :(
Quick, someone come up with a non-beak light mod!
I'd so be there then, although I'd have to go and do something really over the top to make it more then just another factory 109 with standard aftermarket parts!

Seen that before. That pic of the Muscle 109R looks like one of those cartoons where a fellow only bought half the body building kit and therefore half his body is built. And the front light still doesnt flow for me. I like Cruiser 109R better.
But then I also don't have $30,000 sitting around right now. Thats what they cost new aint it?

$10K would make a damn good down payment.
Never heard of financing?

Edited version - long version was a rant on finance-
I dont do finiance. I dont owe money on anything except for a mortgage, and I paid half of the house up front at that. I strongely dont believe in living my life owing money to people. And $10,000 owing on a motorcycle that would be a luxury item I can do without when I already have a bike that works alright and maybe not the flashest (still draws plenty of attention though) aint my cup of tea.
Summary- finance is bad. Say no!
I'll buy an old C109 in 10 years. Hows about that? :P
