We have all read these threads and it pisses me off that I am now writing one but I just need to get this shit off my chest. My first bike was whacked today, first bikes are special and I loved my lil Spada too.

On the way to work this morning about 1/4 to 7, I apporached a roundabout in a 50k area and reliesed I would have to give way to a ute entering from my right. I slowed and changed down throught the gears but did not come to a complete stop and smack. :spanking:Violated right up the rear by a bloody Mitsi Lancer.

I dont remember much except slowing down and waking up on the road. people who saw it say I was hit at about 40km/h and flew 6 metres before landing on my scone. I woke up and was helped from the road but flaked out again. Im pretty stoked that nothing really hurts, major head and neck ache, very swollen ankle and a few more pains slowly emerging. My bike is rightoff and same with some of my gear, insurance should see me right i hope. If the guy hadnt hit me he would have t-boned the ute going through the roundabout, at least he made an effort and called anambulance.

If anyone knows of a good replacement bike let me know. Will not have huge money to play with.

Jeez, what a bummer.

I'm glad you're relatively unscathed - I hope those aches and pains don't come to much.

If you are after another Spada, pm hXc as he wants to sell his. Glad you are ok, could of been much worse.

Not good to hear. Were you checked out re concussion?
Can have nasty follow on effects. take it real easy, and any sign of disorientation etc, seek medical advise quickly.
Hope to hear that your back riding soon.

Hope to have $2500-$3000 if State insurance see me right. Yeah on a 250 for another year so it will have to be a reasonable bike.

What he said, you need to keep following up the concussion thing, very dangerous stuff.

Hope you feel better soon and the search for a new bike is painless. All the best

I got paid out $4000 for my Spada, then bought it back and fixed it up. This was with State too. Get your mechanic to give it a go over, and then tell State what he thinks it is to fix, and what he thinks it was worth before the bin.
As mentioned before, I'm looking to sell mine. It's not on the market as such, but if you want it, you are welcome. PM me for me details dude.

Glad your ok, and able to walk away. Sad to see a honda go off to that big scrap yard in the sky though. Do follow up on that concussion though, that shit is serious.
