Found out first hand today..........ive given my best mate shit for years about his overweight cruiser (he rides a Harley) and hes given it all back about my rice burningyada yada yada...but this morning we shot up to ch-ch at 6 am and did a few things and headed back this afternoon, instead of taking the bikes we took my ute as it was pissing down and did so all the way up and all the way back, the rain was pretty shocking and traffic pretty slow as even on the plains no one was passing as the amount of spray flying about made it impossible to see far.....we went passed this poor bugger on the side of the road standing by his bike and from this motorcyclists point of view it was a strange place to be in the pissing rain :(so when i could i doubled back and it turned out it was a bloke on a sporty which had just died on him....no point in the 3 of us getting drowned so onto the back of the ute it went........with some considerable effort :pinch:then my mate and the rider had to share a bucket seat to Ashburton..delivered him safe and sound then gave my mate shit all the way back to oamaru about the weight of cruisers...a few laughs had by all.:mobile:

Well done mate...well done.:niceone: Only did what i would hope any motorcyclist in a ute would do if he came across another with a problem......glad i wasnt on my own bike as it suffers from the same dis-like of water....just wish i had the camera on me so when me mate starts rubbishing my jappa i could bring the photo out to shut him up:niceone:

Was a BA xr6 ute which is really low but tell ya what it still took a bit of grunting to get it up there........thank f$ck it wasnt a big block harley.....i am picking it was only a water problem but not one of us wanted to hang about drowning trying to get it going......funny looking at the pair of them cuddling up on one seat..i couldnt help but remark on the closeness of riding a Harley....nice really.

Good shit Mike - Kharma will surely reward you.:niceone:

And I know what that rain was like 'cos I was riding in it coming back from Otematata HOG rally, got to Pukeuri about 10-ish, man it was WET!

Then South of Dunners (after the blardy fog!) it get ferkin cold:cold: - 3 degrees at my back door!!

My 'hi-tech' waterproof gear was sweet-as:niceone:

A bit damp around the helmet/skull mask but the rest of me was dry. (Bless Mr Holsums fine bread-bags!)

Good on you helping out a fellow rider.

But I do not believe that a HD broke down and it had to have a ride on the back of a Ute.
They only do that to keep the mileage down because they are collectable.
And in this case the rider did not have wet weather gear.
