I love bikes but ya gotta admit there aint nothing like watching those guys thunder over the mountain.
If only we could get some serious bike race meetings back over there .

Yeah, it is good to watch, those cars are hitting 285km/h, maybe 300 since I haven't been watching all day  That is seriously fast. I would STILL (when is someone going to indulge me on this) like to see a car bike race :niceone: Say a combination V8 Supercar / Moto GP race, now that would be a sight.
There's quite a few laps on this race... Gives you plenty time to pop in and out, read KB forums, shower and still not miss too much :spudwave:

I'm watching the mighty V8's.....usually I watch the start....bit of action as they fight it out for a position, miss the middle cause their all settled in just doing the rounds.....watch the last 15/20 laps as they get desperate scrapping for the finish line.
Pity about Brock, would have liked to see the ledgend finish on a high note.

Never really been that into it. My dad is a big v8 fan, but I'd rather see bikes fly around that mountain.
Will generally watch it if I'm somewhere where it's on though, but that's usually for the related alcoholic beverages as the actual sport on.

It would be wicked to have a go on the track, see how big your balls really are.

rumour has it that for some of the rounds of the V8 series there may be austrailian superbikes as well.

I lost interest when it became a Holden/Ford silhouette formula. '84 to '92 were the years, M3's Sierra's, Jimmy's Godzilla.

Did a run down to the claudlands swapmeet this morning, bought some crap, sold nothing (I think) and back for the big race...case of Haagen by my side.
I like a long race - bikes,cars,cockroaches....I don't care, some say long races are boring, but I like them, there is just so much that happens, anything can happen.I'll watch from start to finish - well, you can spend a bit of time in the kitchen making tomato sandwiches and stuff.

A combined V8 + MotoGP race?
Imagine the number of "Sorry mate, I didn't see you" type incidents that would occur..

Jimmy had crashed out beyond any chance of repair and Dick Johnson had crossed the finish line, the race was red flagged for atrocious weather and counted back one lap which gave Jimmy the win
I watch it a bit but Holden vs Ford doesn't do much for me,bring back a few more manufacturers and it might make it a bit more interesting

Too right. Puts the emphasis more on the differences between drivers than the differences between pit crews, and allows some time to get back into it if you screw up - like skaife and that other fulla who unlapped himself

The Man was a lone Ford supporter in a house full of Holden people, me included! :D
The poor guy had people texting him from the South Island, Napier & even Aussie to rub it in at various times of the day! He was a very quiet lad after the race finally finished. ;)
