Overnight 6-7 September 2007 there was burglary at a commercial premises in Invercargill, where a large quantity of motor cycle related equipment was taken. A conservative estimate at this stage is $20,000 - $30,000.
Information received indicates that this burglary may have connections to a local gang, two of whom were recently seen towing a trailer in the lower North Island.
The property taken includes:
<LI type=disc>Panniers <LI type=disc>Neo back protectors <LI type=disc>Motox goggles <LI type=disc>Oxford panniers and bags <LI type=disc>Yuasa batteries <LI type=disc>large number of trousers and jackets (Nortech, Spool, Dri Rider and Motor Line) <LI type=disc>quantity of expensive motor cycle oils (Belray, Maxima) <LI type=disc>approx 100 pairs of motor cycle gloves (Storm, Speed, Oxford, Motox, Neo, Armourtech, Nortech) <LI type=disc>56 motor cycle helmets (THH, FFM, Zeuss, Hjc, Shark, Airoh) <LI type=disc>14 pairs of motor cycle boots (Terrain, Gaerne, Vcan, Moto, Forma)
If you are offered any items such as the above on the cheap, they are quite possibly stolen.
