Does anyone do sidecar mx in NZ?
Haven't seen or heard of anything yet. Pretty exciting to watch and even more of an adrenalin rush to do!:woohoo:
They use 700/740cc zabel 2 stroke engines and I note this year they brought out a 1000cc 2 stroke.:2guns::shit:
check out clips below especially the crash in the last one ::rockon:

no one does it in NZ that i know of, i have seen it in Aussie before,
looks like a heap of fun, still think speedway sidecars are a bit more insane, 1000cc motors, no brakes, and concrete walls very close,
would love to have a go on a mx sidecar

We used to do this up in the north during the late seventies. Not with 700cc tho, more like AG185 bikes ported, polished with chambers (80-90 mph). Used to lengthen the swing arms with longer chains etc etc.
We had about 20 units but the numbers twindled due to the accident percentage. Funny as a fart and dangerous as hell considering we were only teenagers and our welding/engineering skills weren't that great. Bike and cart seperation was a daily occurance.
No freaking way I'd do it now though.
