Don't know where, don't know when, but this looks like it hurts!

How the fuck do you lose your front end like that?

Some pointers for Si perhaps, he's always losing his front end.........:D

Just saw a series of pic of (presumably) malaysian bike accident in a highway. TZR150 bike versus truck.
Literally made me sick and almost vommited.
Very grotesque, the rider got his head+leftarm severed, left leg about 5metre from the bike, right leg about further 10 metre, right arm and body stuck on the truck wheel.

Really makes u think about safety and riding gear, huh?

By the way, the rider was dead on the spot.

I actually saw the video footage of that a while back - it was on the news I think?? Correct me if I am wrong.....(it may have been sports cafe if I think hard enough) - one of those - plays of the week things - could have been Sky.

Yes, there is losing your front end - and this case - there is never being able to find it after the accident.

The bad thing wasn't the body stuck between truck wheels, mitch. But the piece with the head and left arm only. And the right leg with a portion of the body.
Come to think of it, I've never actually seen a severed (totally pulled apart) human body until those pictures.
And I've never even thought it was actually possible to be broken to 4 pieces in a normal accident.

And, I totally agree with you. It makes a terrific safety adds....if the parents can stomach it when they see it in TV

is the most expensive safety gear money can buy really gonna stop you being ripped apart 4 ways anyway?

at my old job someone pinned up one from http://www.rotten.com (dont go there) captioned "why we dont ride motorcycles". it should really have said "why we dont wear open faced helmets". guy missing basically his nose and lower jaw. what was really disgusting was that it was like a hospital room photo or something and the guy was alive and looking at the camera.

I wonder if those pictures are in the same league as the one of Saddam's Sons (not that I have seen them. I'm curious now)

Repeat: don't go there. I've seen that picture, and worse... My curiosity about dismemberment, mutilation, decapitation etc. has been satisfied for good. Some of the images I can't get out of my mind. Not nice.

while i have been priveleged NOT to see accident pictures (rotten.com is ALL BAD).. my sister works as a radiographer in Brisbane and has seen motorcyclists come in after crashes with open face helmets (popular in the warmer cities) and she reckoned it looked like they'd been attacked with a cheese grater!! Similar comments applied to the bloke she talked to who crashed in shorts and t-shirt...guess what he did for a job... sold motorcycle safety clothing (i kid you not!)... he'll be up for the darwin awards next year no doubt!
