Pure goodness.
Quick, fun, unfaired - so no expensive plastic to fix if you drop it... what more can you want? :)

Can do a lot worse than a Bandit.

Unfaired is a good idea for a learner and I've heard the bandits are a good choice............BUt you should get a hornet :dodge:

I own a 1994 250 Bandit. The 1995 is a slightly better bike as they have a few minor changes/upgrades. I think its a good bike to learn on. And as hXc said, you can do a lot worse. Any questions about it I'd be happy to answer.

Or you could get my Spada. Nothing wrong with them either - similar styling to a Bandit too. Just a v-twin roar rather than a 4cyl buzz.

Buzz? Howl past 10k RPM if it's one with an aftermarket pipe :devil2: *Otherwise more sewing machine without pipe, but less so than a Hornet, ZXR or CBR...*:girlfight:
I've just sold my '95 bandit after 2 years and 20 000 odd KM - great all rounder, comfy and good looking with enough power to not look silly on the open road with bigger bikes and definately hold their own in the twisties.
Probably not as easy in the very first days of riding than a single or a twin as they love a healthy diet of revs, but will keep you happy for longer than a single and with a bit more top-end than a twin. That said, they're greedier for gas than a single or a twin too...
You won't regret buying a baby Bandit :banana::banana:

I love my bandit!
She looks good, nothing to break if I drop it, and she can still go. I learned to ride on a FXR 150, stuggled a bit in the corners, but from the first time I rode Jessie she was fantastic, happily tips over without to much hassle. The power difference was really noticable!
Down side, she drinks petrol a little more than most, but its still cheap.

Great choice. You will not regret buying the 95 bandit. Get some nice grippy rubber on her and have a ball. I'm running Pirelli Diablos on mine, And man is it fun on the twisty bits. I am getting to loath the straights.
