Hi guys my name's sid just got into biking around july and been loving every second of it. Bought a zxr250A and just had a bin about a month ago where the stock muffler was dented. So i decided to get an aftermarket one and ordered a daishin racing one from oz for a very reasonable price.
The problem is that once i tried to bolt it on, the flange appeared to be bent and was leaking. Even with it bolted on tight and the gasket in place it wasnt fully sealed. I went to pitstop and they said they couldnt make a connecting pipe as the muffler was alloy. Also they couldn't fabricate a new flange. I had made an appointment with custom chambers too but the guy didn't appear to be there this morning when i went to drop it off as per my appointment...
Now i just wanted to ask anybody out there with any experience with this sort of thing what would be the best solution? Just making a new flange or is there a way to permanently attach the muffler to the header pipe...Also, if anybody has any other recommendations of places that could do it for cheap that would be great too:first:
By the way the muffler sounds amazing, no more sewing machine at full tilt...although i might go deaf soon
