10 char = 10 charachters, not sure if they still do it on this forum but for a while posts were not valid if they had fewer than 10 characters. To stop endless postings of 'lol' etc I guess...
(I'll just check... :P)

Did you get your front forks stiffened up?

carbacca
11th October 2007, 22:19
its non adjustable as far as i can tell :( will probably wait til next service (not long now) and do the fork oil

Macstar
11th October 2007, 22:43
its non adjustable as far as i can tell :( will probably wait til next service (not long now) and do the fork oil

Having just been through this process myself, I can tell you that using a heavier oil and/or putting in more fork oil will probably make little difference considering how soft the front is. To be fair though, probably not worth buying heavier springs or putting spacers in unless you're gonna hold on to the bike for a long time...

I was just worried that after stiffening up the rear that it might have made your front worse. If not, sweet as! (It did for me, I was getting major nose diving after rebuilding the rear shock and then had to put spacers in the front too).

Has anyone done this ride before and know approx return time back to town, I just found out I have to be back in Auck by 6pm

Ragingrob
12th October 2007, 08:18
Yeah any idea how long it is?

Squiggles
12th October 2007, 08:40
haha, you should be back well before then

Last year it was a cruise around all of the bays (where there are collectors stationed hitting up all the spectators) then onwards to western springs where there's food and prizes to be had, not sure if its the same end point this year, so yes, you will be back before 6

anyone got an extra jacket? Old man's one is a bit big for the pillion kim's taking

Ragingrob
12th October 2007, 09:24
So it leaves at 11:30 from Kohi, do you think it'll be any longer than 2 hours to get to Western Springs?

Hey is there anything I need to know about group riding or do I just relax and ride as per usual?

Just in case there could be strong rain and possible Hail on Sunday.

Not here to discourage but to inform that you better get your wet gear sorted tonight.

Anyway, this was from Metservice and we all know how wrong they can be sometimes.

Cheers.

Mean turn out and a little disappointed that there weren't enough hot chicks in the right age bracket for me... either too young or too old... hahahah...

You know Kim that picture of you on the chopper is an awesome picture!
I been thinking in how easy life would be if you just trade in the fireblade for the chopper. No more 'kid on bike' confusions! Hahahah...

If they only made those choppers with better/safer brakes and bigger tires...I would not mind buying one. Hey leave the Fireblade out of this...there will always be a Honda in my garage. And I dont think I need titanium arms and leg extensions lol ...I can comfortably manoeuvre a 1000cc bike better than some others on their 250cc. Anyway isn't the sound of a kid on bike exciting....I know ladies like it haha... :2thumbsup

I dont know have not ridden one. I probably cant even steer it. How about you ride one and tell me :msn-wink:

sounds like you all had an awesome time!! wish i cudda come but studies beckon :crybaby: quite a turnout aye!! cant wait till the westpac trust ride in summer (hope im back in time for it)

and kim.....that's the perfect size bike for ya mate....think its time you trade your 929 in

i think we should try and get the police to escort us in all our ride lol:niceone:

well most of us wudnt get very far if this happened and the popo would have a field day....can just imagine losing my licence, gettin slapped with a massive fine and having to walk home from the first turnoff on old north road with a bunch of other riders (ie isaac, kim, chris, andrew and basically the whole smc crew)

well at least on the plus side, we'd lose our licences before we got too far outta auckland so it would be a shorter walk :2thumbsup

oh except hong hes a very law-abiding rider....maybe he could give us all lifts home one at a time :niceone:

Looks like a good time was had by all - no one blown over?

I was knackered from my early work starts (7am Fri, 8am Sat) and only woke up at 10.20 - dammit... I love large congregations of bikes (note the worshipful connotations:innocent:)

I was partially forbidden too, as I have a nasty piece of school work due that I'm avoiding...

Will catch you all soon.
