Ok so Ive NEVER ridden any kind of two wheeler off road before --as in besides a tourer down a dirt road.
Hauled 3 kids bikes a kids quad and my cheap as chips ex farmbike dr200 circa 1980 summat out to Woodhill bike park --Now called the Kawasaki sandpit.
Unloaded and generally prepped the kids bikes for em then unloaded my sorry ol scoot. Pegs so worn out they hang down at a 30 degree angle.NO rear brakes and a set of knoblies that had done way too many hours putting round a farmers paddock.
BUT Im only gonna follow the kids around their area RIGHT??
Well that lasted all of about er an hour.
Then I started to have some fun
First of all it was a quick explore of the lil kids loop track.
Then It was racing the older two round the "oval"of the kids track
Me taking the loooonng loop then taking the short loop
Then off for a half hour explore with mr 4 hanging on the back
YeP I had a friggin ball and what really suprised me was how natural it felt
let the bike go loosey goosey under you use ya legs--drop the foot in --er except when theres friggin tree roots hidden mid corner.:baby:
Woke up this mornin not upper body sore but a bit leg sore sorta like first race meeting of the season.
The kids had a blast every one of em getting about 5 hours riding.
Crash of the day was mr 9 who somehow managed to fire his bike into gear whilst alongside it and hit the only vehicle in a 2km radius--yep MY van--and not just a panel--NOPE the friggin tailight
Rider of the day was mr 8 who was hitting the whoops and immitating crusty daemons with full foot off pegs type jumps
I can only say --What have I been missing all these years??
actually No--er--anyone wanna buy a dr200--I need a real trailee

 Way to go dude, love it.
Reason I got into trials years ago was because it's a far more family-oriented day out. Sounds like you're hooked, general purpose trail bikes are real flexible, there's a bunch of options for any given weekend. Gona get expensive keeping the kids in bikes and tyres though.

Sounds like there's some test rides comming up... you really need one of these mate, superb bike.

Well actually folks its worse--Ive committed to buying a trailer from Geofm
Jorja had her fair share on the kids bikes and a couple of blatts on the DR
She's now hooked so I need to find her a 100 or a 125 (shes fairly short)
So pretty soon itll be 6 of us out there on the bikes :2thumbsup
