Went to 2 day trip to coromandel, had a lot of fun !:niceone::apint:

I had A bit of a problem on my way back:doh: !!!... I was in North Shore, took the grevil rd exit, went through the roundabout at the speed about 40km/hr and All of sudden My back skidded out to the left, then to the right then to the left and so on(Didn't drop the bike:niceone:). so I started decelerating and slightly applied my front brake. as soon as I stoper I had a look at my rear tire and It was flat :crybaby: so I pushed my bike to the nearest Petrol station, got the tire filled with air, drove to home, and by the time I got home It got flat again.:pinch:

I have a full insurance cover, I just want to know will it cover the tire ? Also I know that on a car if you drive with flat tire you will have to replace the wheel aswell is it same with the bikes ?

The amount of flat tires/punctures I get on the shore is shocking. So much rubbish on the roads.

I always carry a puncture repair kit - you can get them from Motohaus in Westernsprings.

They have dog turds to repair the holes as well as tiny CO2 gas bottles to inflate your tire again.

The little kit has served me very well so far!

Staples, nails, glass... you name it. Ive had it impaled.

Insurance wise? Very much doubt your covered.

No the tyre is not covered. If you had crashed then the resultant damage would be covered.

Maybe he could tell the insurance company the blown tire made him crash.. even though he didnt.. ..get any little scratches and imperfections repaired..

And makes our premiums go up, and if you get caught, bye bye ever getting insurance again.

Even if you did claim, and it was accepted, then you would have to pay your sxcess[which could be more than a new tyre] and ruin your no claims record.
