The headlights on my bike are complete shite. I was heading over summit road the other night, and I could literally only see 10m ahead of my bike. High beams didn't help much, as they just illuminated the road to the sides of the bike (and not much too.

It's been suggested that I clean the reflectors, and get ice white lights (apparently they're better). Well, my reflectors are perfectly clean, and as for the lights, is it worth it? Do they actually give better light?

Also, would it be better to replace the front headlights (it's twin headlight) completely, as in put ones from another bike on? If so, what bike would I take them off?

Thanks for your help :)

They originally had yellow 35W bulbs as standard. Now that was shite. I replaced them with 50/55W and made sure they were aligned correctly. Makes a huge difference to how the road is illuminated. From your description I'm picking that the bulbs have already been changed and the headlights are aligned so you are getting divergent beams pointed just in front of the front wheel.

This thread has some good advice on headlight alignment

Cool, thanks dude. The ones currently in my bike are the 50/55W ones, the same as in cars. I'll try the tips in that thread (sounds sensible) and we'll see how it goes!
