Background:

BRONZ are organising this years Ride to Work day (or Ride to School/Uni/Knocking Shop, Whatever rocks y' boat day). November 7th for the ignorant.

We (or more truthfully the attenuated ozzie , that most estimable and useful of men) are organising with McDonalds to support it and incorporate it with the Ronald McDonald promotional activity.

So not only can you Ride to XXX (I ain't going through that again); but you can make a contribution to a worth while charity at the same time.

Like, little kids. *Sick* little kids . With tear stained faces, breaking into great smiles when Ronald comes along. All thanks to you. :violin:Y' don't *have* to contribute of course. We won't twist y' arm. Just sort of feed it through the chain while someone does a burnout. You've got a spare haven't you?

And it's going to be a GREAT scene. Ride to XXX, and drop by Macca's for a brekkie. Special deals ! Dontcha love a bargain. And, that's not all. Mr Dave is organising FREEBIES. Spot prizes ! Helmets. Scooters.:scooter: Dunno exactly what, but it's going to be good.

Anyway, now that you're all keen to come along, what I need is some input on what Maccas sites will work for you? We need four in Auckland. North south east and west . Or summat, if you've got better compass points go for it. Or five if y' really want. Ain't going past five, I'd have to take m'other glove off.

Need a decent car park, and be central for people heading to XXX. And easy to get in and out of . And not too near any donut shops. And stuff.

So, post up y' favorite Macca's site.

BTW if the none of the four work for you, y' can still enter the draw for the prizes (did I mention that there were going to be PRIZES) .Just buy a brekkie and send y' receipt into BRONZ by some date or other. Ditto if you're not in Dorkland. Or organise your own local one.

Roll 'em in lads

(I just *know* some dick is gonna throw a hissy and claim this isn't in the right place. It is. Bugger off)

Is that the wossit down that-a-way, or the other wossit by where the gas station used to be before they put the road through after the war. Y'need to be more precise, it makes a difference y'know.

So, Greenlane is one. Need three more.

(Did I mention there were gonna be prizes? And special deals? We're still working on the chicks in bikinis)

New Lynn has a good size car park but is probably too far off the m'way to catch a lot of the westies.

Lincoln Rd is kind of westie central and not too far for pople to detour off the
m'way on the way.

Westgate will require a ride for many to get there, now we are talking, not much traffic in that direction, buit makes for a crap commute back towards town.

My pick Lincoln Rd

Bump.
Bumpity.

BTW, did you know there are going to be PRIZES . And FREEBIES.

So, to recap.
General consensus on Green Lane for Central

And a mixed vote for the West between the WestGate, Lincoln Rd and Massey Rd ? Need a consensus on which one.

North only has New Windsor (I thought that woz norf of Lunnon, but who knows).

East , Botany ?

And Souf, the big white wossit ?

Any other suggestions. Other than the other wossit?

Wot about the dudes at Punyversity? Do any of those work for them?

McWestgate has plenty of space, with a McPetrolshop and other McFacilities around the place too.

I try to avoid McShite but if it's for a good cause....

botany for east? that's only 10 seconds ride from manukau which you reckon for south.

hmmm looking at a map of Auckland i'd try to find the closest to Papakura for south, Albany for north, Henderson for west, Queen st for central and Howick for east
