I have 1/2 an hour in which to say yes or no to buying this at $1600.00. Auction is closed and seller has given me 30 mins ...looks in primo condition, i think its a good buy at that price...thoughts?

Comes down to whether you trust his descriptions of it mechanically. If all is good, that's a steal....

Just be careful mate. Sometimes you get ripped off pretty badly when you take someones word for it when buying over the net even if you believe that they are trustworthy....

Might be in need of some decals for the tank John....and do you know how long Rego can be on hold before it becomes and issue...last rego'd in 2000, rego still on hold

Dunno.
From memory it is either 6 or 12 months at a time, but I do know you can reapply to keep it on hold for another (and another and another) period at the expiration.

As far as I'm aware, it's the time you specify for (3 to 12 monthes) and as long as he has kept putting it on hold, you should only need a WOF and then re-rego it. I think?

Yep, chrome pipe and give the engine a clean, nice. Got a fair few kays on it though.
