Renewing my insurance on my bike after one year.

Have I got a good deal on Insurance for my bike? At $785.00

06 YZF R1 Cost 20K insured for 20K should I lower this?

$750 standard excess and $1500 if it’s stolen.

And yes I am a tad over 25 and have been reasonably virtuous except for one speeding fine last month doing 96 kph in a 100 kph zone (In a Truck)

Any thoughts and advice would be welcome.

Cheers all.

If you're over 30, try Classic Cover.

I insured '07 bike, value of $19K, $250 excess, fully comp, aftermarket cans, international (UK) license, tad over 30 :), for $500 with ebike (www.ebike.co.nz)

I've also insured previous bikes with ebike over in the UK and they've always been good for me. You get breakdown cover included.

Yup, best quote I got, through Whitelock Suzuki. $530 something for the Buell. But then I'm a tad more than "just over 30".

i got $500/ year for a cbr250 rr full insurance. worth about 4-5k

and im on my restricted. others were quoting me 3000+

and im under 25

Smiling Dave at www.kiwibike.co.nz will take care of you like no other. Particularly if you ever need to make a claim, which is when a good agent really counts.

nac dont have the best name, theres a reason only people who have bad insurance history/high risk vehicles go through them, its because noone who can get insurance elsewhere would touch them.

excess is 1500 i think? not too sure, i got the excess put up so the yearly premium would come down.

My son had insurance with them and the excess was both on the crasher and the crashies vehicle so when he had a low speed nose to tail he had to pay the excess twice which was about $1500 each vehicle.
Read the fine print and check it out.

Just rang them up, and I only have an excess for myself not on the crashies vehicle.

Excess is $1200 for accident, $600 for theft, when I get my full next week excess will be $1000. but i'll haggle the preium down as well, i want it to be $300.

Thanks all for the advice the ebike rate went to over $800.00 when I found out the factory imobiliser is not the top rating I picked on the first quote.

So have stuck with Classic $769.95 at $19,000.00

Thanks again.
