Been looking at the new Yamaha RoadlinerXV1900 with purchase in mind. Have mixed emotions. What do other people think in regards to the RoadstarXV1600 as opposed to this new RoadlinerXV1900? Would be interested to hear your views on this!

It's not a Harley, but that's not a bad thing! Those big Yam cruisers are beautifully built, and if the local distributor got their finger out, they'd sell heaps of them.

Personally id sooner have a Harley or a M109 for the same money.

Yeah, I think you may be right. I wonder when they're bringing the injected Roadstars into the country? I would love to take one for a ride and compare.

Not everyone likes the chopper look mate, some folks like to be able to feel what the front end is doing.
Don't know about that Cigar tube exhaust though (was a nicer term than what first came to mind)
Yamaha makes some great looking cruisers till it comes to the exhuast.

It's quite pretty. The tank is a lovely piece of kit, isn't it, with the Triumph-style chrome stripes...
Some spoked wheels (I don't care how hard they are to clean, it's a cruiser, you're polishing chrome all day anyway ), and then we're talking ^_^
You're right, though, Waylander -- the silencer does kind of look like a wang.

The designers at Star must be chicks...
Some of the women I know do tend to talk about bikes as the 'biggest vibrators they could find" Maybe some decided it should be literal....

Gorgeous piece of Streamline Moderne (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streamline_Moderne) design. It's definitely something I'd like to own, just to look at. If some people can put their 1098 in the living room, then I can have one of those in the living room.

I agree. Having seen the headlight in the metal it is just as ulgy as the picture.... much prefer the 109. It would be interesting to see how effective the headlight is though.
