That is so sad. Quite disturbing, but intensely powerful.

I hope people here are more sensible, and stop those who are not.

:shit: Thats some hard shit to read.

You drink, drive and then kill someone, then that’s premeditated murder in my book.

You (generally speaking) will think twice about driving drunk
or recklessly after seeing it.

I braved it and looked......

Wo. That's heavy. I think I'd loose all will to live if that happend to me. Definitely the sort of thing that should be on TV. That said, if your selfish enough to drink and drive, I doubt you'd really take it on board. It would have to be more of a case of "this is what happend to a drink driver" for them to sit up and take notice.

Man that's sad. It's nice to see that something that terrible has been turned round to help prevent things like that occurring again.

This I think is the better way to reduce the drink drive perpertrators. To say that one is prepared to kill doesn't have the same impact that a life of suffering to someone else has as well can relate to some form of pain and misery. Back in 89 I had a drunk run over my bike while stopped at an intersection waiting for him to turn. Fortunatley I managed to jump clear but the bike was pushed 50 or so meters down the road, he had to reverse off the bike and then poured himself out of the car. (this was 6.30 in the morning after night shift) Cop told me not to mention the drink as insurance would not pay out. He paid for all repairs but the paper stated that the driver simply did not see the motorcyclist  He did not see me 'cause he was paraletic. Always treat cars with suspission now at intersections.

Nothing will stop the hardcore recidivists however this sort of thing can certainly influence those who simply have casual attitudes to drink driving. So yes, I think things like this should be more publicly displayed and perhaps the pub dunny would be a good place to start.

Oh I dunno about nothing stopping the recidivist's. It appears more than one member of this board own devices capable of stopping their behaviour, permanently. Actually, any behaviour really...

I specialise in the central control and distribution of information to AV devices. It would be a piece of wees to set something like that up. Just needs $$ and with what the LTSA wastes on stupid stuff like worrying about how loud my bike is (loud) I reckon this would be great! Hell, the Taxi companies would probably sponsor it.

I'm reasonably certain she has been on TV, but can't think how long ago or what programme. Perhaps 60minutes or something like that?
