Way cooler than a medicalert bracelet!

I figure my wallet should survive a crash but maybe I should add a card with contact numbers and stuff in it.

If it lights your candle, then go for it!

OR...

1. You could get your details registed with some agency and have the corresponding Barcode tattooed on the back of your neck. (Like a Playstation Character).

2. Get it tattooed in offset Red & Green and always carry decoding 3D Specs with you.

3. Get a Nice big yellow enamelled Name Badge, with a catchy "Intro Line"
(Like "Hi my name is ...... If you sit on my face, I will tell you your weight")

Fifty bucks for dog tags!
You'd be better off paying $80 and getting a tattoo with all that information that will be out of date within a year.

But seriously, I bought some from Kiwi Disposals about five or six years ago and they only cost around $20

Yea, but these are $50 compared to $500.:bleh:

And no I don't want any.

Get some silencers on them dog tags. Trust me.. the really can fuck you off jingling away. And they keep some of the cold off if you always have them stashed down your shirt rather then hanging out. Nothing like looking to the left as.. i dunno.. a sexy bike goes by and you get the pang and chill of the cold metal on your chest.

And if they are $50 you are overpaying.

Go to the military collectables and/or firearms sections on trademe and they have a guy or guys that advertise them to be made up.

And, I don't believe they laser engrave real dog tags.. the ones I've seen and the ones ive had were letter pressed/punched or whatever it's called. But then who gives a stuff about the authenticity.

I wasnt thinking from an authentic point of view, more from an easy to access emergency info point of view. yes I think they are overpriced, hence why if anyone else was interested maybe we can get them to be more reasonable.

Not a bad idea. I already keep my partners card in my jacket that states to call him in an emergency. Hope its never needed.

Gross over generalisation and stereotypism of my gender here my friend!

Most expensive bobble on my person is my belly button thingy, and that was about $50...

Oh hang on...engagement and wedding rings...a bit more expensive, but not by my choice! :o

I think the idea of the dogtag is a good one, but somehow makes me cringe a bit: I'm not much into army stuff, so that could be why.

Lamest idea ever. My phone will be on me, always, and I've set up a contact called "ICE" in there with all the relevant numbers.

Always carry my cellphone, wallet with a drivers licence in it. It dont have my address in it but if its needed that urgently Im sure the emergency services can track people down.

Shit oh dear!

I've got some of those from 1965. On reflection, they would be the only things I was issued then that still fit...

If the accident is bad enough to total me, then chances are that it will possibly be bad enough to total the phone to. I have broken about 50 phones in the last 7 years (Nokia rugged my arse!) so wouldnt put all my trust in mine.

Son brought a necklace from a small asian shop in Henderson about a week ago for $2. At the time I thought "Why" lol but after thinking about it for a while i figured it doesn't hurt. He is nine and I suggested he gets his name, address and phone number engraved incase something happens when he is out on his bike or on his paper run.

Yes most people carry a cell phone on their bike, but how likely would it be to survive a crash.
