Well, the full licence was obtained on sat 29th sep.....

Got the bike out for a ride that afternoon and it was running a little hairy. Only covered maybe 20-50k around town at the most.

Anyway, rather than pissing around with it I chose to bite the bullet and ride it to the bike shop on the Monday and have them sort it so I could ride the next day.

Well that day didn't come untill today. All that was needed was the carbs cleaned, earth straps were loose, airbox tightened onto the carbs and the mixtures set.

So I race home from work early and pull the monster out of the shed and fire it up, wow, still can't get over the Duc sound with opened up cans. With that said, on went the gear and off I go. A quick blat up to the windmills over just out of Ashurst for a photo.

I was having so much fun that I almost missed the turn into the windmill look out but a little heavy braking sorted that. Once at the top, I didn't to let go of the bike in fear of the wind putting it on it's ass... So after all that, no pic was taken but the ride home was just as fun as the ride there.

So there you have it, the monster and I are now mobile in the world of two wheels and I am extremely happy with how the bike rides. ..

Anyways, just thought I would let you locals know that having the bike sitting in the shed for the last two and a half months was absoulute tourture both on myself and the bike, hence the $180 bill for maybe 2 hours of work to get me going. Oh well, nextime I will be patient and do it myself.

So there you have it, I am a happy chappy lol.. Ride on!!!

86GSXR, will be a weird feeling riding with other riders as I am not used to being surrounded by bikes let alone know the biker ettquite (spelling) when riding in a pack. Will get used to it in all due time though..

laffing .. its no probs .. 86 is normally out front somewhere & everyone just rides to their own pace so at times you could be riding on ya own .. just know that somewhere ahead everyone regroups again ..

I have only been riding 6 months mate so you will be fine .. if ya not sure hang around at the back & get comfy with it all ..

No worries, what Chanceyy said  Just do your own thing at your own pace and it won't take long to get into the flow. You'll be fine

Don't worry, I hadn't ridden in 15 years and had rarely ridden with a 'pack' back then. All is sweet:yes: you just ride as you wish and we wait at junctions for people who don't know where they are going (me, yod and cowboyz though the lads are always at the front getting lost!)

Etiquette (I looked it up) is have fun and be safe pretty much as far as I can tell

I am just getting used to the Honda so will definately be out saturday and sunday and any evening next week that is reasonable weather wise.

Will see you sunday I am sure :sunny: and can work out something for next week. 86, Yod and I live in Palmie and chanceyy loves to come up so you will be spoilt for choice. Cuba afterwards of course:yes:

I have no doubt that I will be having fun out there. Just wish this wind would die down a little, while it isn't a drama to ride in it, when you just want to get out and have a relaxing stroll the wind kind of kills that idea as there is a whole lot of fighting going on lol
