Yes it is cage racing and i know what your thinking" oh great another non-bike thread" for those who are thinking this hear me "I DONT CARE"

Well it is upon us once again Bathurst 1000 roars into action with the top ten shoot out conducted today and delayed coverage is on TV in a couple of hours time.

I myself will be watching as much as of the 161 laps of the mount.

Picture this the 42inch with the race on and a 21inch right beside it hooked up to the x-box with V8 Supercars2 game and me doing my own Bathurst 1000

what are your pre-race routine for this great race

GO HOLDEN AND MURPHY

Just make sure I've got a decent supply of drinks and the right sort of food like a decent pack of cheerios, fresh bread and plenty of tomato sauce.

I support Holden (purely because I own one) but have been a long time Lowndes fan. he is particularly talented at enduro racing and Wincup is in top form. Bathurst is a minefield of mechanical timebombs and crashes though, so it really is anyone's race.

My pick is Lowndes second year running.... I might change my view after watching the top ten shootout in the middle of the night though!

And if Skaife stays out of trouble there will be trouble.....

Good on you for being a dedicated motorsport fan! Why should us petrolheads restrict our interest only to bikes?

My pre-race routine involves stocking up on crap food to munch on during the race. :corn: For me, the most important parts of the race are the start and end - you can catch the rest of the highlights on the news!

I'll still watch the race, but I'll definitely do other things in the background, such as eat, drink and cause shit on KB. Thank God for wireless networks :bleh:

Go the mighty Holdens!

The whole Ford v Holden thing is moot after they changed the rules a few years back to cripple the handling in the Holden's.

We have a XR6 Falcon & a SS Commodore, so I'm sitting on the fence.

Do'nt really care what/who wins as long as its not Skaife or any of the Kelly homos.

Used to watch it from start to finish but since they dropped the field to about 30 I've lost a bit of interest.
Was great to see the once a year numpties crashing into everything when the field was about 50.

Onya!
The one day of the year that I'm pleased I own a television. (and a fridge.)
Have whitebait awaiting for being fritterized, prawns, Jim, assorted nibblies (including food) and I don't really care about what brand of car wins, I love all V8's, but if Lowndes could have some minor mechanical mishap I don't think I'd cry. (How many times has he bumped Murph and got away with it?)

Great day in, enjoy!!!!

I havnt followed it seriously for years. I miss the Group A days. However its still motorsport on TV soIll be watching it, even if I dont know who has a chance of winning at this stage.
