Wood pecker finds the view from his new nest is obscured by a cascara tree and in lieu of an alternative decides the tree must go. Now there are only a limited number of ways that a wood pecker can deal to a whole tree and so he decides he will ring-bark it.
The hidden trap for those not in the know is that cascara juice works like turbocharged epsom salts, only more so
Anyway, early one morning the woodpecker sets out to ring-bark the cascara tree and 5 minutes later, you couldn't hear his wood pecking for his ring-barking.
