KB dinners, get to know the posters.

I was just thinking and haven't been able to ride of late so spending time on here to make up for it. My wife recons I'm on all the time anyway but meh, thats another story. Who'd be keen to have dinner at another KB'ers place? Could cook or buy something. Everyone covers their own costs but not a huge party that would be work for the host. Just a few people having a chat to get to know riders in your area a bit more.

Just throwing it out there. I would host a dinner but we've just moved from a massive place to a tiny one and it would keep the kids up. So post up where you are and stuff and lets get into it, make some new buddies for rides and BBQ's over summer etc.

Sounds all good mate, and I would be a starter...but...

from a female perspective I would want to "make an effort" and possibly even "feel uncomfortable" having people over for dinner at mine with out having met them before. Both of those things is not me, if that makes sense.

In my experience, to meet people from here, you PM them and arrange to go for a bit of a spin together, or meet on a ride, or you meet them at another members place/event, or you invite yourself (gate crash) to their next advertised BBQ, or ride or whatever.......LOL

After that, getting to know them is easy
