I hope Im in the right place.....(another newbie)

After dropping my boyfriends bike (in a stationary position) we bought an old GP125 (1984) for me to practice on. It runs fine and Iv'e affectionayley named her 'lil red'. The problem is that the light, indicators etc only really work when the bike is revved. The horn lets out a barely audible wheeze and Iv'e been told that there is no way im getting a warrant unless I fix it. Any Ideas on what might be wrong? Oh and the speedo tells me Im doing 160km/h most of the time (if this is the case I might hold on to this bike for a while!=)

Hi, I don't know much about the GP 125, but like most electrical faults, start with a good battery. They are only about $25 new, so its an easy place to start. If the new battery goes flat, you have an alternator rectifier problem, but chances are it will be OK/

Absolutely top advice.

As to the horn, take it apart and then put it back together again. It is likely that the thing has got stuck. The insides are supposed to vibrate in order to make the sound. Taking the srews out will help to free it up.

Enjoy
