In my opinion, after working a few bikes, it is money down the drain.
you will decide you want a better bike anyway, probably sooner than later, and the money you pour into your jog will not come back when you sell it,I think you should save for the next one instead of putting money into this one.
cheers.
Adam.

Yes, I'm another Welly based scooter rider.
My SJ50 is derestricted, and seems to get along quite nicely. You're welcome to take it for a ride to compare. I'm told the Jogs are faster than the SJ50's, so your scoot should go nicely when uncorked.
I also had slightly lighter rollers (7g) fitted, along with a Kitco type 3 pulley. This changed the top speed from 61 to 70k (checked before and after with a GPS), and as I do a stint of my commute to work in a 70k zone I think this was quite worthwhile. Also it means that it cruises very quietly indeed at 50k. No reduction in the ability to go up hills either, thanks to the 7g rollers. With 8g rollers it crawled up hills.
The scootling forum is a bit quiet, but has less people telling you to buy a motorbike instead of a scooter ;)

Sounds like you don't get it... not everyone wants to ride a motorbike... there are some really great scooters around...

Crazy Steve told me the other day that you're a bit of a muppet with that GSX-R1000...
Ps. Some people CHOOSE to ride scooters over geared motorcycles

I'm in welly and I've got a Yamaha Aerox 50cc. derestricted it was doing ~70 on the flat, with different rollers, center spring and expansion chamber, its quicker and a fuckload louder than any scoot I have seen/ridden.
In the pipelines are a bigger carb, 70cc cylinder kit, and possibly a different chamber.
got the 70cc kit, about to get the carb, then gotta find someone who can help me fit and tune it all!
:2thumbsup

Depending on what brand of scooter... Hyosungs have a little blue wire that gets disconnected for derestriction, while i think it's suzuki's that have a little bit of metal spacer that gets removed from the exhaust header

I find myself a year ago having a 50cc scooter as my first and only mode of transport... and like you I wanted more power too, So I did some bullshit derestricting the CDI, high flow air filter and an iridium plug... It made things a little better, But then I got sick of it so I got a bike and it was everything I wanted that the scooter couldn't ever provide.
