:argh:Question,
Hubby put centre stand down and caught heel of his boot on exhaust (not bike boots) rubber melted on to chrome. Tried meths and nail varnsh remover to no avail.:blink:
Any suggestions coz he is driving me crazy:mad:

Autosole and bit or elbow greese should get it off... I have done that a few times...

Autosol or kerosene should do it.

Kero and one of those yellow fishing net style pot scrubs will make short work of it without scratching the chrome.

Acetone or similar rubber solvent (when the bike's cold!!) and an old towel or other rough fabric, works most of the time.

Ive used a bit of cut and polish but not sure how good an idea that is long term (i.e. repeated "cleaning" jobs) didnt scratch the chrome!
