Anyone here had any experience with Biotron?
For about the last six rides I have been having problems with pain in my right arm near the elbow. Kind of similar to tennis elbow and it gets painful to squeeze something, like the toothpaste for instance, or when I had a similar problem in my left arm a few years back I could not squeeze the clutch. The right side is not so bad because I don't have to squeeze the front brake as much as the clutch, so the injury has not been so over worked. However its been bad enough the last few weeks to take some time of the bike and try and get it right. When I had the problem in the left arm I ended up having to take 3 months of riding and seriously thought I was going to have to run an auto clutch just to ride again.
So for the last two weeks I've been taking arnica drops and using arnica cream on my arm. Usually this sorts most injuries out. But my arm was not really making any great progress. I figured I could probably ride if I could take it easy and not hammer any whoops as it was when I had to pull back on the bars that the arm would hurt.

Anyway, on Thursday my Wife brought home this thing could a Biotron which she borrowed from her friend. It emits a light and comes with 7 different coloured lenses that you fit over the light which have different frequencys and each light frequency has a different pentrative power on your body cells and a different effect. She looked up the info and prescribed 4mins of yellow light, 4 mins of red and then 4 mins of purple. You hold it about 50mm above the injured area.
I was highly sceptical and didn't even bother looking at the contraption. But seeing as it was looking like another weekend where I could not ride due to my injury on Friday night I thought I would have a look at it and give it a go as it could do no harm.
I also used an infra red heat lamp afterwards, which I've never bothered with before for injurys.
Well I woke on Saturday morning and the arm felt bloody good. So good in fact that I decided I would ride the GNCC. I was also sure the ride would re hurt the arm. But I rode and felt no pain at all.
I used it again on Saturday night after the GNCC, and again on Sunday morning, even though I have felt no pain what so ever after the first treatment. It seems that the injury is fully healed with just one treatment!
I would never have believed this was possible if I had not tried it for myself. And no, I'm not selling the things lol!

Anyone else ever heard of or used these before? I want to get one.

I think I might get some different colored bulbs for different rooms in the house for total body recovery lol!

Yup, polarised light promotes bloodflow to damaged tissue.
My uncle imports them and my mum has a clinic sized one at her place.
My father has had a pretty large invasive cancer op, and regular light use seems to have greatly aided his recovery.
I too have been impressed with results on injuries and their healing time.
Worked a treat on Kashin the elephant when he had a dangerous foot injury that wouldn't otherwise heal.
I believe the correct name is 'Bioptron'
