"Not for road use", I think this is on the packaging.
Plus I have heard stories of cars with the same things being pulled up because of it, i think it is in the road code about blue lights on vehicles other than police.

No EJ, they wouldn't look good on your bike, ask GIJoe to sort you out with some proper bling. =)

Must be harsh Federales elsewhere if they ticket a hombre for having those on his bike/car.
Never even stopped anybody for it yet.

(dunno if I would have 'em but each to their own.....)

i heard there are dangerious as the extra weight on the valve on a fast bile stresses the valve and it can snap off.

but that could be crap........

they do look grea on my wife bicycle though.

I have heard of people having the tyres go down when at speed due to these things, I would avoid them myself.

I have them on my bicycle a while back when I wanted people to notice me more in the dark.

Looks good when riding in the evening, especially if you're like me who cruise to city for Uni everyday.

Apart from that, they're kinda gay and gimmicky.

And definitely wouldn't recommend them for motorbikes for the reasons above.

They work better on an angled valve stem rather than the "pointing at the axle" motorbike type.

Yeah that happened to a guy on the TCWNR last year. After he took them off he also noticed that the vibrations disappeared at speed as well!!

Avoid these as they cause many problems

I guess little ol'two fiddy bikes don'thave those probs since they don't get to high speed! The only problem I've encountered was losing the lights themselves (need to tighten them on a semi-regular basis! :o)

I've used them with blue and red colours and never had a problem with them (the first time I used them on a group night ride, people thought my pipes were backfiring or on fire!)

Bling is good! :msn-wink:

Seen heaps on cars - I guess they don't have that problem eh?

I really doubt they would cause the tyre to go down - how would they let the air escape??

I wouldn't add extra weight to my wheel even I hadn't herd things about them, didn't disco dan's valve stem split cos of these? And they're so freakin' gay, take things off your bike I recon, tidy it up, don't add things!

I dont think the valve leds are that good but I can say that i have had response from the cops with the blue neons under mine and the blue led park light.....although not entirely legal i actually got the thumbs up from a few cops that pulled up next to me at lights on more than one occasion......I think the extra eye catch awareness factor works well........and hey its great for lane splitting....I have to pass the police depot every day going to work and never had a drama.....I know on cars they have had alot of problems but i think the boys in blue turn a blind eye to the bike because it seems to make me more visable to motorist.......what ever works i spose....

i had it happen to me once... i don't wear them any more. the rubber seal had somehow twisted inside it and pushed the valve open
