Hi Guys and girls

An apology to Joni and anyone that has already read this as I got the dates mixed up. Thanks Merv for spotting it and Thank you Joni for being so good about it, I apologise for any grief I may have caused you Joni.

Please check this thread out as an update

Below is the original thread:-
As this is also on the same day as the Malaysian GP would you like to change venue to Kitty O'Shea's and I'll arrange getting it on the big screen again. I will also talk to the boss about making it a private function upstairs!! Which I really don't see being a problem.

I know this is a bit last minute but thought I'd suggest it as it's not that far from the cross and I think the fact of having a private venue and the GP on (which is from 5-9pm) would really top it off. I Also have to say after being at the cross a few weeks ago, Kitty's beer is better value for money too :2thumbsup

Joni I'm not trying to take over all your hard work I just thought of it when I was asked about showing the next GP which I have just seen is on the KB birthday bash date.

Please let me know what you all think and if there was anything in particular that was organised at the cross that you would want done or if there is something you'd like to organise (if you change venue)

Taz

I wish you had spoken to me or Spank first, so we could consolidate everything and not have arrangements all over the place... especially two events in one city.

Ah well, I give up on the bash... way too many people have tried to do their own thing, when all Spank and I were trying to do was arrange a country wide celebration for the site... dont get me wrong, its not a bad idea... just wish we could have arranged it together and worked it in to fit the plans that have taken a while to set up.

One thing to keep in mind is that Spank has paid a deposit to secure the venue we have booked...

Let me know if we need to get the deposit back before Spank looses it. Then people can do what ever they like.... as that is what they are intent on.

Im not fighting this anymore. I will arrange Chch... end of story.

Hey chick, dont stress!!!! Its all good. You guy's have put in alot of work and im quite happy to go wherever you guy's have sorted, (though I didnt think that the Cross took $$ deposits?..) It was just a suggestion that came from a suggestion I think.

I know.... and no hard feelings at all... just tired of fighting it.

Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong with this stupid birthday bash :weep:

I reckon me and Spank should just drown our exhaustion down here in Chch... and let you North Islanders sort yourselves out.

If that's what causes you less stress than do it! If people wanna come then they'll come regardless of how much effortyou put into it!!

The only thing I wont allow is that Spank looses money because people cant just stick to what we arranged. So let me know re the deposit.

Dont stress chick! My mate works at Southern Cross and is pretty sure that no deposit was asked for.... Let me know if this wrong though!!!

Joni
16th October 2007, 16:19
It is wrong, the payment has been made 100%

However if people are still going to go to the Southern cross we need to keep the deposit paid, else those arrangement will be stuffed.

edit: I wish this was discussed with me first.... Im going home! Sort it out yourselves... I just dont get why Spank put his own money down as a deposit for an event he wont even be attending, for you guys...

Hey Joni before you stress too much is the KB bash still on the 27th?

If so not a problem because the Malaysian GP is 21st so we can fit both in at different venues.

Don't ya love me for spotting that?

I think Taz has made this sound confused because you said the KB 5th birthday is actually 21st while you didn't propose the bash on that day. So we could actually celebrate twice.

HAHA funny shit!

Good spotting merv.

Im sure the relitivley organic nature of KiwiBiker allows events to be sweet as with little more than a time, date and place. no that I have sorted these for both the events above I will (like many others) be there with bells on.

No need to stress, parties are about getting away from stressful shit and having a good time with mates and other likeminded folk, so sit back, relax, and I will see ya there :)

Say the people who never ever get off their arse and organise anything bigger than a trip to the tinny house.

They wanted a $100 deposit from me to secure the booking on the "room".

Which, before anyone moans about, was the only space they had left for us by the time I was given "the misson".
So it's fair enough that this would've been a pain in the organisers collective arses. But..... as it is a non-issue now, sweet as, continue as you all were.:niceone:

Taz we would appreciate MotoGP again I am sure if you can confirm you will put it on.

I have got to say that I think it is piss poor form and absolute bad manners for someone to try and change something that has already been organised. If Tazman wants to do something he should organise it off his own back, instead of trying to hijack somone elses function.

Nah I think we've got this sorted - no hijacks required.

I had no intention of hijacking anything if you actually read my post!!!!!!! So wind your neck in.

I was merely trying to give Kbers down here everything (a party and the GP) We also wouldn't have asked for a deposit!! as it happens Thanks to Merv spotting it and Joni being very nice about it they are on two separate dates so if I get enough interest again, the boss will think about putting the GP on again this weekend. (there are a few technical issues re this that is why I need to know numbers)

Will be putting a post up requesting this.

Good luck... I will let you know how many venues there will be next time round... seeing you have it down pat, the 4 this year would be minimal...
