Just came over the news...

A four car smash at the bottom of the Gorge. Biker involved and the bike is under a cage. No other information at the moment but the tail back is already back to Tawa.

Let's hope the biker is OK.

I rode past this on the way in.
Bike was a light blue Trans-alp style. It was leaning against the barier with a few scratches on the side, no sign of the rider.
The ambulance and police were there and the fire engine had just turned up.

Best wishes going out to the rider, hope he is ok.

Yeah never a nice sight. Car and biker crashes.

Was effing windy (again) today.
Did the WMC fun ride on sunday over the hill to the Wairarapa and had a real fight going around the corners and being pushed sideways:eek:

Not sure on all details, however no injuries to rider, according to ambo (how lucky is that!).

That brings back some memories! Coming around a corner on the Taka's, and the wind caught the front wheel - almost pushed it right out from under me! Scared the crap outta me! And that was on my old GSX11 - the Duc's even worse (lighter, and full fairing)...
