It was good to be back on the bike after just more than 3 months! It was a bit sluggish for the ride and the controls felt funny. Used up all the old gas in it and a tank of 98 sorted out the motor. Seems like even though a shop has made a ton of money off you things go astray at motorbike shops. I had all the insurance work done and a full service, the works while it was in. Seems they've drilled the holes to locate the switch boxes at odd angles. (I had the broken bars replaced with Renthal supermoto bars which feel nice!). Neither of them sit how they should/used to (with the indicator on the left and the lights on the right one heading straight back towards me and the flat bases heading down). Now the kill-switch heads for the sky, the light control is uncomfortably high and on the other side the indictors are way low which in turn means I can't lower the clutch lever past flat or the mirror high enough. I could understand if both were low/high but they're all cocked up. Also the rear brake shaft is bent which I only found after I noticed the nut holding the brake shaft was only on one turn! Tried to tighten it and it wouldn't cos it must have been bent in the crash (all the other brake stuff in the area was smashed). Pass switch doesn't go now and neither the tail-light or brake light work. Nice........ so I'll be on the phone to them tomorrow. I don't want to be an asshole but I don't think Renthal bars are cheap and they can't be drilled twice either, I think I know how they can be sorted with out redrilling and will put that to them.
Good to meet you Dan and Firball! I thought when people said Dan always gets lost they were joking?

Good to meet you both. Yep I noticed your lack of brakelight! Nice cruisy ride with good company. My thoughts were elswhere all day today which had an anoying effect on my riding but all in all it was still enjoyable.
Couple of times I thought i'd lost fireball off the back... but alas... she held on ;)
