Agreed! A while ago I posted this thread, http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=50864 , which leads to Honda's official website where they've recorded a whole bunch of their most famous bikes and cars. A good chunk of the RCxxx 1960s GP bikes are on there. I think the RC166 is the best of the bunch... never heard such a howl.

But considering your well documented history of being an idiot and a general squid, your opinion counts for about five eights of feck all. You clearly know very little about the history of the Japanese motorcycle, quite possibly a good match for your riding ability. Quit yer dribbling and HTFU.
Much like all the others, I also like the sound of the RC166 and actually know abit of its documented history (have a small library of motorcycle books). Would be a blast to ride and from what I remember, in its day it did very well in it's class.

Bit of useless info.
That dude is revving it quickly like that when the revs go low as it won't idle because the RC166 has virtually no flywheel and super-light crankshaft.

Keep digging that hole...
It's a race bike.
Use google and find out why it had such a light flywheel and the effect it had on fast revving. And you'll understand. :oi-grr:

Nah mate.
It's milled from a solid block of purest unobtainium. It's so small. I swear the piston in my Stihl 340 is bigger.
And check out that big end. One piece. Means you have no weak points at all.
So you can rev the absolute shit out of it and it won't break, even though its made so very very light...
even you must be able to appreciate that.

Actually, that's a bloody good question.
Have a look at this photo showing a few racing crankshafts.
The one on the bottom is from a Honda 125cc 4-cyl. while the middle Crank is from a 4-cyl. M.V. Agusta racer.
Anyone else have a theory? I reckon they're not one-piece cranks.

Give that time and this will change, I'd bet my last 10 bucks on that as a safe bet. Once again you show us all how much of a squid you are. Not only with your inability to grow up, take advice, ride safely and again with your irrelevant dribble here on KBer.
As for your Honda, you don't deserve to own a good one, that pile of shit might be the closest you ever come to it. For all your dribble about it, remember one thing. Your the moron who brought it.

On the middle one there are what looks like the naughty bums of grub screws on the milled faces of the #1 and #4 counterweight/lobe area. Must have a separate crank lobe area thats key'ed and located by the screw? That the most straight forward way I could think of doing it and the pic seems to look that way.
Hey Mark, lets have a race, you'll win cos I'll just follow beeping and pointing you out to every cop we see! Not really freedom on a bike when you can get chucked in the slammer cos they breathalyse you on the way to the dairy!! Slow down dick, I'd love to go for a ride with you once you grow up. Love and I don't want to read your name in the paper. Mr Pancake.

Hey,
If they're anything like the honda RS125GP cranks, then no they're not one piece. The require very, very delicate hands and a very very well machined press jig to allow the big end pins to press in square and give the right spacing between the crank halfs.
I know the the principal is the same as the 2stroke single, but the art of pressing 6 of them pins in is well.... jaw dropping.
I'll go poach some photos off a website to give you an idea to the principle of how they go together

and pulling over 20K rpm !!!
After watching the MotoGP bikes this weekend just gone, I've came to the conclusion that they're all starting to sound the same. The Kawasakis and Yamahas have that V8ish sound and the Honda, Suzuki and Ducati's have that RC30 sound.
You can't beat those 1960's Honda GP bikes for sound.
(Okay the Norton Rotarys around Isle of Mann ain't bad too!!)
