Time from getting 100+ demerits until suspension notice?

Any idea how long it takes to be "personally served with the suspension notice" after going over 100 demerits?

Pretty sure my step-son now has over 100 demerits (should be on 110 by my reckoning), but he paid his last fine last week (breaching restricted licence conditions) and hasn't heard anything?

Just depends on when LTNZ gets around to visiting you and serving the notice. If they can't find you... they update the database so the Police know you are wanted for that purpose.

I suggest he approach LTNZ and get the suspension underway. Otherwise, if it comes to waiting until they catch up with you on the road, it can be very inconvenient indeed.

yip, i think they contract baycorp to do the serving, otherwise what toaster said, the sooner you get it started the sooner you get it back, and slap that kid upside the head, i wont tell sue bradford, promise.
