Ok so I see this is advertised as an event over the coming weekend at telstra clear. Im thinking of going Friday night. Ive never been to one and was wondering what its like and if its worth the 15 bucks. So did anyone go last year and what was your take on it all..... whats there etc etc
Thanks in advance all :)

I went last year, I loved it.. but then again I love just going to dealerships and looking at bikes hehe.

Last year had a nice range of dealers and bikes, every dealer let me have a sit on any bike that took my fancy, had some great bikes on showcase like the britten etc.. I'll definitely be going this weekend some time, especially since it's just down the road!

Can't believe there hasn't been much advertising for this.

edit --- Yep, it's this weekend, 26 - 28th of Oct

I'll probably go after work at about 7pm, if I see a pink Triumph I'll put a post it note on the seat "Hi from zeocen!" hehe

You can do a lot worse with $15, but I remember last time I spent more time outside looking at the flock of bikes from attendees than I did inside. Hopefully they have some 2008 models on show.

Last time there were a good mix of bikes, a good amount of cruisers as you walked in, but on the sides were the usual brands with their latest models on showcase. (I went there just for the sport bike side, wasn't too dissapointed).

Basically if it's like last time it's like wandering around a dealership with new stock, except all the dealerships are next to each other and the bikes are extra shiney... with the nice classic/famous bikes in the middle.

I think $15 is a bit of a rip too, but like I said before, I could think of worse ways to spend $15 and a couple of hours hehe

Went to the show today, very dissappointing.Wasted $15.Unless your into gangs, cruisers and choppers .No bike vendors .:angry:Was hoping to check out some bikes. Some nice custom choppers though and the black zx14r that was used on the speed attempt at bonneville salt flats.

Yup, went tonight, pretty much a waste of $15 ... cruiser heaven but that's about it. No new model bikes or anything.
If you're into vintage or cruisers, it's great.. but that's about it.

I saw trump-lady as i walked out, nice paint job! Didn't want to bother her though hehe

I enjoyed last years event, can't make it this time though due to family commitments (wife gave birth to a new boy so I am busy here). Last year was the new venue after a few years break.

If you are into custom bikes or vintage then it is great. A lot of bikes on show are those of individuals that have put the time in to make their rides different. I had my bike in the show last year - this year I have taken it to pieces (again) to sort out the paint properly.

Enjoy:niceone:

Well, I must be mad as a hatter, I went back twice tonight! Actually I wanted to get the KB patch I bought an age ago from Spankme sewn on. The nice lady that was there last year did a spiffy job! And for me... $5! Cheep cheep! :niceone: Lesley is her name?

Saw zrxer and trump-lady there even on the second trip back! I bought some signs for Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki Parking only (I intend to own one of each those brands at least!) $8 ... nice!

And to top it all off, plonked down $20 for a ticket to try and win a HD VRSCOX Night Rod Special, I'm sure I could get over the tassles and other affectations if I should win it!

Took a ton of piccies, signed up for the Christian Bike Riders ('cause I always do stuff like that! If there was a coven of Satanic worshippers that Ride, I would have done the same! )

And generally had a good leer at bike bits ... ooh I love those old school bikes ... BSA, Triumph, Norton, etc.

I think it was better than the $15 I spent last weekend on Armageddon!
