As you may know, when I’m not here, amongst other things I run a biking website (URL at the bottom of this post!)
Anyway, I needed to give my eyes a rest from the ‘Day Job’, so thought I'd have a look at my webstats for the last week (the host company provides information on how many people accessed the site, how many pages were downloaded etc). One of the things the hosting company provides are searches done to find the Motobke.co.uk
Amongst them was this search term:
1: thudding in the head
I *hope* this is due to an ill-fitting helmet... perhaps caused by inserting too much aluminium foil to stop "Them" talking to the searcher whilst riding?
I mentioned this to a friend of mine, who runs a classic bike site – so he looked at his webstats and found:
"pictures of jimmy krankie" which has been used to find RealClassic *twice* - by the same person, presumably...
Or "very baggy denim"?
The internal search engine log also threw up "(somme mothers do have em) AND (somme mothers do have em)" - presumably from someone with an interest in Michael Crawford and the first world war?
Of course, none of these are as good as the time my boss, who had just been given access to the internet for the first time, wanted to buy a new sofa. So she entered one word – LEATHER –into Google.
She was quite shocked by the results…
