Hey everybody! - long time reader first time poster :D
Heh - so I'm half way there and it's all downhill from here (towards an empty bank account!) just picking up the last of my safety gear, a bike off Trademe and the theory side of my learners ... just took the bike questions at http://www.drivinginstructor.co.nz and... oops... got nearly all the questions relating to braking on bikes in particular wrong :(
(I'm such a cage driver, I rely on engine braking in a manual four wheeler too often...) but now I know better! good times. booked for friday :2thumbsup - should be legal and roadworthy by the end of the weekend! (and very poor, but I'm still excited!)
have to admit my father just tried to talk me out of getting a bike (I didn't want to surprise him by having him trip over it in the garage one day)... at first I thought he was concerned for his daughters safety but then he said that I hadn't thought the cost of it through! nice
Just wanted to say thanks as well, I've been browsing the forums quite a bit and they've been really useful (and sometimes not useful but just funny) in finding out the general consensus on newbie bikes and gear, as well as good general advice for learners.
Right, I'm off to get 100% in my practice test this time through!
