Can anyone tell me of a reputable breaker, or other source of 2nd hand parts or alternatively recommend someone who can repair an oil cooler.

Long story short my 2005 Speed Triple had a close encounter with the ground which resulted in a bent rear brake lever, a slightly twisted but still functional radiator, and a oil cooler missing one of of the pipe connections.

The dealer has quoted nearly $1000 for replacement parts so I want to either get 2nd hand brake lever and oil cooler or have the pipe connection welded back onto the oil cooler and I will live with the bent lever for now.

Any advice or pointers appreciated.

Get on the web for Aussie bike wreckers. I don't think there will be enough in NZ for any of the wreckers to bother touching them.

As far as I know there's little available in NZ. Best place to go is vic motorcycle wreckers in Melbourne.

www.victorianmotorcyclewreckers.com.au

I've used them in the past and they're pretty damn good.
