Guys and Girls, Who would be keen to meet up in Queenstown some time late Feb early March. I have access to some land for camping 5 minutes from Queenstown for those who can't afford the arm up your back Queenstown accomodation. Was thinking we could hang out for 2 days or so and explore the local rides. Fantastic adventure rides and road rides nearby. If we got enough numbers we could organise entertainment and food etc. Just getting feedback from you guys before I put my "lets do it " hat on.

Regards
Mick

I'm in Mick. Some awesome rides down there both road and dirt. Great scenery too, and the mountain and lakes don't look too bad either. Miles

Hi Mick,
good to catch up in Chch on Saturday, and as discussed depending on dates, I'd be keen as.
Would this be likely to be an extended weekend or a weekday trip ?

All Bikes Dog !! think of it as a motorcycling carnival at one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

Sounds like a good idea to me - and one for all KB'ers regardless of bikes as there are plenty of options for day trips no matter what you ride.
Probably need to stay clear of the March Hare although if it came down to a choice I'd go to Queenstown as the riding is better!!

What facilities are there likely to be at this site? - loos etc, especially for any lady bikers

It probably won't work in with the Passes ride which finishes in ChCh on Feb 15th but that might be a good thing - we'll need a few days to recover.

I hope to do Passes ride to & my 1st time to mainland on a bike so even if it's the weekend after i'd stick around, late Feb/march bit of a stretch tho.

Can I say I'd like to come. I have a number of not unsurmountable problems to definately commit at the mo. like:

Not being in NZ,
Not having a bike,
Not having any gear

But March is ages away and I'd defo like to meet some peps and I know how good the roads are around Qweenstown.

As Zukin pointed it, a few northerners will be "adventuring" in the mainland around those dates, we'll be happy to see you all there.

Sounds good to me, but as a photographer who also shoots weddings, a lot of my weekends are pre-booked as it were, :weep: so availability will be dependant on which weekend is the chosen one

Cheers, Stu :scooter:
