View Full Version : Does cowboyz need to clean his bike?

I'm sure you don't need telling, this is a critical issue that needs to be resolved once and for all (as discussed on the side of the road a few km from turangi)

how dirty is too dirty?
should we put up with this?
is it time he traded it in? (honda i reckon)

these and many more pertinent questions are close to tipping our society into an abyss of dirty bi-wheeled vehicular debauchery!!!

but for now just answer the poll

or not

whatever

You can never be too dirty! :devil2:

....sorry, what was the question?:whistle:

Where was I....?

Oh yeah... I thought my bike was dirty, but...:eek5:
The advantage is though, the dirt keeps other dirt (which could be more evil dirt) away from the actual surface of the bike. SO it could be argued that dirt has a protective function.

:dodge:
Or perhaps not.

That's one of the advantages of being naked...I mean having a naked bike...less to get dirty in the first place! :innocent:

Where was I .... thinking... thinking....
Oh yeah - the other advantage of being naked... I mean having a naked bike... easier to get clean when you do get dirty.

:killingme  :innocent:

Whaaaaaaaat?... So, do you get naked when you clean your bike then?

*ok, I'll behave now...te he*

That is a hell of a lot cleaner than some bikes I have seen around.

The chain is all nicely lubed....... which is the main thing......

Yod - If you are so worried about the state of his bike....... then you should go and wash & polish it for him. Go on......it wont take you long.

I bet he will say thanks afterwards....:msn-wink:

If he cleans it the nice people from uncle Helens lot will give him another invoice for shiny speedy riding, using the excuse of been speed cleaned at garage and I'm speed drying at 125 km is not an option.:woohoo:

I don't reckon it's too bad. Mine looks just as dirty at the moment. Poor Maidstone Yamaha - they have to put a new chain on tomorrow and its pretty yuck. Sorry guys.

However cowboyz needs to stop hanging off the bike like a monkey on the road. He could lean that bike over waaaaaay more if he sat on it properly... those chicken strips take up half the tyre. :dodge:

Chain looks clean, so not the end of the world. I like to give my bikes a good going over though, helps to spot things before they break/wear out.

fed them my lunch, they came quite close.... They were sitting in a puddle outside my workshop so I found a big enough bowl for them to fit in and filled it with water...

I would let Yod clean my bike but wouldn't say thanks. Having time alone with the green machine would be thanks enough for him.

C'mon yod show the pic of the GBs rear wheel.:sunny: Spotless it is.too.
The dirt is too scared to stick to anything on that bike in case the thing it sticks to decides to fall off. Dirt has feelings too ya know.

I ride like a girl so the Honda can keep up..

Thats fooken disgraceful. Shows a complete lack of standards, much like the rider. Doesnt deserve the wonderful missus he's got either. I'm ashamed to ride past his house every morning.

Still, spose I best nit be mean. Maybe he doesnt know what a clean bike looks like, or how to get one without buying a new one. So,heres what 1/2 hour of lazy scrubbing will get you.

(Shit I hope he doesnt throw the spikes out tomorrow morning!!! )

righto. The bike is going to be parked in the garage of PN Golf club all day today. Anyone feel inclined they can come down and clean a patch of it for me. I far too busy learning how to ride and sharpening road spikes.........

Four words. Foaming. Mag. Wheel. Cleaner. Youu get it from the Warehouse and it will eat stubborn, well caked filth no worries.

Actually, I've just had an evil thought. I should clean just one patch/side of a tyre and then everyone who see's it will comment on how it makes the rest of the bike look shitebox and dirty. Then Cowboyz will be overcome with shame and clean it instead of ignoring us on principle just to be his contrary self

cowboyz

I will clean it in my spare time.

told her the back half of the bike is hers so she has to clean from the pillion seat backwards........

Nah, I spent an hour giving it the once over. Might pull her to bits this weekend and give it a good clean as I am not doing anything else.
