Pilot Jets

On my carb i dont have any pilot jet screws. The backside of the pilot jets themselves are screws, is that what is meant by pilot screws? Is this also what changes the mixture and should be set at 1 1/2 turns?

Yes and yes. Screw them in all the way (not too tight) then back them out 1 1/2 turns

Sounds like your'e describing the air mixture screw ?
It's been a while since I worked on a carby, but you will have a main jet which is used for high revs; you will also have a pilot jet thats used for idle or low revs; and then there will also be a float jet used to keep yhe float bowl full.

And i stand to be corrected if wrong :sweatdrop
