What a fantastic night! A great opportunity to really celebrate the essence that is KB. I think I had about as much fun getting ready for the party as I did at it! A bit of time and effort and some expense involved but well worth it. Being with your friends (all met on this forum) is what makes the world go around  We even had a very late call from a member that was overseas!
Thanks guys for a wonderful night. Thank you also to Spank me for providing this amazing place that is KB, and really sorry that the logo was a bit wonky on the cake, it is not easy to do with a bit of icing.

Totally and utterly gutted I couldn't make it but I was with some texans who helped me demolish an unholy volume of Vodka over the course of 3 nights.
Was good to ring LOL... but I was surrounded by sleeping people(rows and rows of houses...) so talking wasn't much of an option.
On the (VERY VERY) bright side - they're hoping to come to NZ Jan/Feb... ish.
Another party perhaps? LOL
Cheers all.

Just for your information, this was an officially sanctioned and approved KB Birthday party that took place out of Auckland city. I personally went to some considerable effort to make this a really good KB celebration.
I never registered to attend any other party. If the good folk in Auckland did not take the opportunity to plan and organise something down there it is hardly my problem.
And it most definately is not a shame that a good few of us that dont live in Auckland managed to have a really good time!

Ok, my bad! Somebody told me something that was some sort of rubbish and somewhat short of the real story. If you cook the humble pie, I'll tuck in when I next get Norf (if I don't get turned back at the Bombay Border Crossing)

Flyspray seemed a good choice at the time....:shifty: but very non-effective as everyone now knows, thought if i could slow the bastard down a tad, i could catch it, only....i made it very angry, a fly swat would have had the same reaction...

No excuse really, there was so much left over! My daughter and her friends managed to demolish the remainder in short order Sunday and Monday.....LOL. They were a bit worried about the black icing, till I explained it was chocolate icing died black, then they went for it!
Amazing to find black food colouring, was worrying how I could make black, cos it is a primary colour, and thinking I would end up with some really disgusting dark blue/green mix, when hey presto, there was black colouring! Then I stressed that it would turn out grey, but no it works really well. Had to chuck out the dish cloth though, after cleaning up it turned this really revolting colour

Four of us passed through Auckland from Tauranga to make this particular party, wouldnt have missed, Rattie, Cake, Nedwin the Third wielding flyspray, DMNTD licking Nedwin the Third, The Quicks quickly coming then going, Mrs Busa Pete determined to outlast at least the first to bed (me at 4.10am).... and much much more to be mentioned, for the world :niceone:
Im sure Mom will welcome you with a large slice of cake (oh, and there were these little pie things too at 3am, and breakfast at 9am) next time

Happy belated 14th Birthday Kiwibiker, seems like it was just yesterday that you were only 5 years old...though this was unofficially a KB Birthday party on the night, it was also DMTND's birthday so it's splendorous natal merriment to you Chris. Good times were had on a fairly regular basis. Frosty ending up with a very 2nd bike.
