The teenager was riding through the Taradale Shopping Centre in Gloucester St just after 7pm when police say he was hit from behind by a car a number of times before the vehicle mounted the bike, trapping it underneath its bonnet.

Detective Constable Glen Burrell says the driver got out of the car and assaulted the motorcyclist, before walking off towards the Taradale Tavern. He says a passenger from the car went back to the scene and was arrested.
