Interesting RVF project bike on Trademe at the moment. Needs a little work as the seller claims it was stolen and dereged

The owner has no papers at all. Does anyone know the bikes history?

He can't be, he's from West Auckland.

Do a VIR based on teh VIN that he gave in the auction, that'll tell you all you need to know.

Same problem here mate. That one looks like it woul make a good project to get running and back on the road.

Comments about not having any papers for it do worry me a bit. But I could just be paraniod

So out of curiosity what would it mean if the VIR check came back with no matching plate? I know where this is leading but...

Can anyone else who might have access check the VIN plate 7A886591103004250
Perhaps someone who has access

No way its fair cop to check out anything before you buy it.
I had a mate trying to sell me something the other day that owed security.
So I would have bought it and then someone would have come and taken it from me.

Bless their honesty

The VIR check comes up as no VIN plates registered in this number...

Might be OK.  But raises enough warning flags for me
