So I'm here in Cairns with Jantar's postie (Honda CT110) and I can't get it registered untill Wednesday next week.
So what do I do until then?
I'm trapped in a tourist mecca of dive shops, backpackers bars, hot babes in bikinis, and a stack of excellent pulp paperbacks. A pool at the backpackers. Oh, and beer.

Aarg! I think I'm going to go mad with boredom.
What would you do in a nice tropical town with nothing to do. And no money.
Did I mention no money?
Yes, I am saving all that for riding and running the bike.

Which is, by the way, excellent. Jantar will be amazed at how I have transformed his machine into a touring mega-postie. I will post pics in a few days.

Get drunk then... Go swimming... Get laid... Get drunk... Go see a movie... Practice streaking - it's hot enough... Sleep, perhaps even in the sun... Sun bathe (if you're feeling brave)...

Plenty of stuff to do.

Go to all the tourist thingies, go to all museums you can find, strike deep and meaningful conversations with the local hippies, walk miles and miles, use pubic transport, buy crap you have no place to store, take millions of photos of statues and churches, send postcards to all and everyone you can think of telling them that you are loving it and you wish they could be there with you, learn to make 23 different nourishing meals from lentils, do some train spotting.

Maaan, so many interesting things to do.....

I've lived in Cairns :2thumbsup.
THERE ARE SHIT LOADS TO DO THERE THAT DON'T REQUIRE $$$$.
Get a bicycle and go riding around too, that's what just about everyone does there as everything is fairly close.

Go up to Kuranda on the standard train. (not the tourist one, costs more for the same ride). Crack on to one of the little hippy women there, and take some Daytura.
